Office Examples: Mail Merge and Mailings
You may print out RagTime documents using the mail merge function or saved as a PDF file. What is unique is that addresses can be imported, via drag & drop, from a spreadsheet into the layout. That's it. You can now start the mailing via printing or PDF export. The addresses can also exist in a separate document, or be imported from an Excel or text file (Tab, CSV)
The RagTime FileMaker extension for Mac OS X allows you to include addresses or variable text modules from a FileMaker database. Data from other common databases can be included via the RagTime Connect Pro extension. Database fields can easily be included in the mail merge layout via drag & drop. Addresses, text modules (ASCII, Word, RTF), and picture references from the database can automatically be used for individual mail merges.
